At Morton Hospital’s Clinic for Cardiac and Vascular Care, we offer patients high quality state-of-the-art technology, compassionate care and skilled, knowledgeable staff trained in heart failure treatment, the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions, circulatory problems, and cardiovascular disease.
Our multidisciplinary cardiovascular services team provides advanced diagnostic tests and treatment options for patients with a wide range of cardiac and vascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, peripheral vascular disease and stroke.
Morton Hospital also offers inpatient care for cardiac patients on our progressive care unit as well as our medical-surgical units. Our specially-trained critical care nurses provide round-the-clock care to patients following a heart attack or stroke. In addition, Morton Hospital’s telemetry unit allows for 24-hour monitoring of cardiac patients for potentially dangerous changes to their heart.
In October of 2011, we opened an electrophysiology (EP) clinic, offering services to assist in diagnosing and treating patients with heart rhythm disturbances, also known as cardiac arrhythmias.
Morton Hospital continues to be recognized for excellence in cardiac care. The hospital was recognized for three consecutive years (2009, 2010 and 2011) by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines™ heart failure and stroke programs. In 2011, Morton Hospital was also recognized by Stroke Collaborative Reaching for Excellence (SCORE) with a “Defect-Free Care” award.
In addition to our clinical services, we offer outpatient nutrition services and smoking cessation programs to help our cardiovascular patients achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles following hospital care.
