Steven Roach, chief executive officer at Nashoba Valley Medical Center has an extensive background in health care. His responsibilities as CEO include overseeing the strategy of the hospital, both short- and long-term, and playing an active role in business and program development.
Prior to arriving at Nashoba Valley Medical Center Roach worked at Emerson Hospital in Concord where he was first manager of financial planning and analysis then promoted to director. While there, he was instrumental in improving operating income from a loss of several million dollars to a positive bottom line.
He has also held the position of financial analyst at Partners Healthcare System. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor's degree in health management and policy, he was awarded his master's degree in finance from Bentley College.
Doreen Thomas, RN, BSN, OCN, MHA, is responsible for all hospital-based clinical services, including acute care nursing services, diagnostic services, rehab services and out-patient medical clinics.
Thomas is a graduate of the Burbank Hospital School of Nursing, receiving a BSN from Fitchburg State College and a master's degree in healthcare administration from Framingham State College. She has an extensive 25 year background in health care including several years of clinical experience in acute care combined with 18 years of progressive nursing leadership.
